Biography

Barbara Marx Hubbard (born Barbara Marx; December 22, 1929 – April 10, 2019) was an American futurist, author and public speaker. She was known for creating "The Synergy Engine" and the "birthing" of humanity. She was born in New York City. She was the Co-founder and president of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution. She was the subject of a biography by author Neale Donald Walsch, The Mother of Invention: The Legacy of Barbara Marx Hubbard and the Future of "YOU." Deepak Chopra called her, "the voice for conscious evolution." In 1984, she was nominated for Vice President of the United States for the Democratic Party. She lost the bid to Geraldine Ferraro. On April 3, 2019, Hubbard was hospitalized for a knee infection. She died a week later on April 10 at a hospital in Loveland, Colorado, aged 89.
