Biography

Benjamin Whitehead (born May 15, 1977) known professionally as Ben Whitehead, is a British actor. He is best known as the second actor to provide the voice of Wallace in the Wallace & Gromit franchise, replacing Peter Sallis the original voice actor for Wallace. Whitehead first started his acting career in 2003 working at Aardman Animations. He voiced Mr. Leaching in Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit (2005), and Bob the Baker in Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008). In 2009, he became the second person to voice the character of Wallace in the Wallace & Gromit franchise, beside Peter Sallis, starting in the video game series Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures (2009) which was a four-part, episodic, adventure game series by Telltale Games. In 2024 Whitehead voiced Wallace in the second feature film, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl (2024). Whitehead has also worked on many other films including The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists! (2012), So You Want to Be a Pirate! (2012), Secrets of the Dark House (2013), A Grand Night In: The Story of Aardman (2015), Early Man (2018), We Are Most Amused and Amazed (2018), Views of the Shard (2021) and Eigengrau Half-Life (2023). He also voiced various characters in the TV series Berry Bees (2019-2020). In 2025 he provided the voiced of Keir Starmer and Howard Lutnick in the BBC Radio, play Churchill's Bust (2025). Benjamin Whitehead was born in 1977 in Cheshire, England, UK. His parents were both avid art enthusiasts. His parents encouraged his passion for acting and storytelling from a young age.
