Biography

Blake Leibel (born May 8, 1981) is a former Canadian comic book creator, graphic novelist and screenwriter residing in Los Angeles. He was born to two notable Canadian families. His father, Lorne Leibel, is a prominent Toronto real estate mogul and Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame inductee. His mother was Alros Products heiress Eleanor Chitel Leibel. He was also a World Champion Gamer: Half Life 1998-2000, and Online Multiplayer World champion for HL: Opposing Force. In May 2016, L.A. Sherriffs arrested Leibel on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend. On June 20, 2018, he was convicted of first degree murder, mayhem, aggravated mayhem, and torture with special circumstances, in the grisly murder of his fiancée, Iana Kasian, who was also the mother of their newborn daughter. On June 26, 2018, he was sentenced to life without parole. The crime is chronicled on the true crime series Death by Fame (S2:E3).
