Biography

David is an award-winning film and television director and executive producer based in Vancouver, Canada. His work reaches global audiences on leading networks, including Hallmark Channel (U.S.), Lifetime Television (U.S.), Channel 4 (U.K.), TF1 (France), and W Network (Canada). His projects have earned multiple accolades, including nominations from the Canadian Screen Awards and the Leo Awards. A prolific television movie director, David has helmed and executive produced numerous films across genres such as holiday, romance, mystery, and thriller. He recently wrapped production on a new Lifetime Original drama starring Valerie Bertinelli, Eric McCormack, and Henry Czerny. He also completed Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder (2025), the highly anticipated Hallmark sequel starring Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith. Other recent credits include The Wish Swap (2025), Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement (2024), Deadly Wives Club (2024), and Hallmark’s All I Need for Christmas (2024). David is currently directing Episodes 3 and 4 of the new crime series Blue Skies. Beyond directing, David has played a key role in the script development of several successful films, including The Picture of Christmas (2021), A Snapshot of Forever (2022), Mistletoe Match (2022), Love’s Secret Ingredient (2023), and Royally Yours, At Christmas (2023). David is an alumnus of the TIFF Filmmaker Lab, a JETS Talent Lab participant at the 68th Berlinale, and a Telus STORYHIVE Banff Fellowship recipient. His feature film projects have received development support from Telefilm Canada and Bell Media’s Harold Greenberg Fund. A graduate of Vancouver Film School with a specialization in Film Production, David also holds a Juris Doctorate from the Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia.
