Biography

Dave Lawrence, a versatile Canadian artist, encompasses roles as an actor, writer, director, and producer. Hailing from Calgary, he honed his improvisational skills at The Loose Moose Theatre Company from a young age, cultivating the character 'Terry,' which became a cornerstone for the Sundance hit, Fubar. Lawrence has featured in various Canadian film and TV productions, notably alongside Leslie Nielsen in Doctor*ology and Tom Green in Freezer Burn. His collaborative writing efforts with childhood friend Paul Spence birthed the book "Just Give'r, A Handguide By Terry," and several film projects, including his directorial debut, Western Confidential. In 2009, Lawrence reunited with Spence and Mike Dowse to craft the Fubar sequel. Despite his accomplishments, Lawrence continues to perform improvised comedy regularly at The Loose Moose, staying connected to his roots in Calgary's theatre scene.
