Biography

Elisabeth Joy is an American writer, director, producer, actress and dancer best known for her performances in films "Dovey's Promise" and "RATS!". She grew up in the Midwest. She is a former US Army officer having served in Afghanistan and Iraq as a chinook helicopter pilot with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). She then flew black hawk helicopters and served as the Alamo Dustoff Aero-medical Evacuation commander with the Texas Army National Guard. Post military service, she transitioned to acting and has worked with Laurel Vouvray (Meisner technique) and is represented by Callidus Agency. She holds an AAS in Radio Television Film and Emerging Media Production from Austin Community College. Elisabeth continues to work at the college as an Adjunct Professor in the Health and Kinesiology Department teaching mind, body, spirit integration through Yoga and Fencing. She is a Producer with the Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel and Austin Veteran Arts Festival where she combines her passions for serving the community and creative expression.
