Biography

An Egyptian director born in May 3, 1974, Esma’eel Farouk is known for his B-films, low budget and technically poor films, made for the sake of money. Starting “90 dakeeka i.e. 90 minutes”, the film produced by “Waleed al-Tab’yee” to apologize to his wife “Ghaada Abdul Raazek”, through “Eb’a aabelny i.e. Impossible to happen”, Sa’d al-Soghayyar’s “Welaad al-balad i.e. Good guys” and “Al-Academeyya i.e. The Academy”. Critics consider him an extension to the - so-called - the 1980s B-films of the Egyptian Cinema.
