Biography

J.J. Johnson captains the creative aspects of each Sinking Ship Entertainment series from development and production to writing and directing. After discovering Daniel Cook in 2002, J.J. went on to create, direct, write and co-produce This is Daniel Cook. Since then, he has created some of Canada's most popular children's programs including This is Emily Yeung, Are we there yet?: World Adventure, Roll Play and the Shaw Rocket Prize winning live-action/CGI series Dino Dan. J.J. has directed over 75 hours of children's programming that air in over 150 countries around the world. The Toronto Star recognized J.J. as one of Canada's top children's television producers and Playback listed him as one of the Top 10 to Watch in 2006. J.J. sits on the board as co-president of the Youth Media Alliance.
