Biography

After graduating from Abashi High School for Boys in 1950, he continued his studies at the acting faculty of Shota Rustaveli Theater Institute in Tbilisi, which he graduated in 1954. He was an actor of the State Theater named after Lado Meskhisvili in Kutaisi in 1954-1956, and an actor of the State Academic Theater named after Kote Marjanishvili in Tbilisi in 1956-1957. He worked at the Sukhumi Theater in 1957-1959, and from 1959 he returned to the Tbilisi State Academic Theater named after Kote Marjanishvili. He has played the following roles: Kolomiitsev, Arzakan Zvambaya, Hamon, Creon, Jocola, Narrator, Begtabegov. For 60 years, he played 35 main roles on the theater stage. The film studio "Georgian film" was active, where he was shot in 10 Georgian feature films. He has performed the following roles: Gigia ("They came down from the mountain"), Giorgi ("Meeting with the past"), Otari ("Crucified Island"), Aron ("Escape at dawn"), Elizbar ("Data Tutashkhia") and others.
