Biography

Nicola "Nick" Nostro was an Italian film director and screenwriter active during the 1960s. After earning a degree in literature, Nostro studied direction at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome. He began his career in the film industry as an assistant editor and script supervisor, later serving as an assistant director for Roberto Bianchi Montero and Giorgio Simonelli. In the 1960s, Nostro directed several films across popular genres of the time, including peplum, eurospy, Spaghetti Westerns, and adventure films. His filmography includes titles such as Blood and Defiance (1962), Triumph of the Ten Gladiators (1964), Operation Counterspy (1965), and Superargo Versus Diabolicus (1966). Nostro retired from filmmaking in the early 1970s.
