Her given name Lee Mei Lan - loosely translates to beautiful Orchid. Growing up in Singapore, Serene speaks both English and Mandarin fluently, and some Bahasa Malaysia. Other dialects include Cantonese, Teochew and Hokkien all spoken fluently.
