Tim Cruz is a Filipino American filmmaker, director, and writer known for bold, genre blending storytelling in independent cinema. His recent feature Don’t Let the Cat Out (2025) premiered at Panic Fest and screened at FrightFest London, earning critical acclaim for its inventive mix of horror, comedy, and heart. Cruz also directed Ladybug (2024), a queer supernatural horror praised for its dreamlike and atmospheric style, as well as Tubi Originals The Final Rose and What Happens in Miami. With a background in music videos and commercials for artists like Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga and brands including Google and Apple Music, Cruz brings a sharp visual style and emotional depth to every project. His upcoming slate includes the slasher Rager, the horror feature Youth Group, and the workplace comedy series The Chateau. As an independent horror director and Filipino American storyteller, Cruz’s work continues to push boundaries, blending emotion, satire, and genre in ways that resonate with diverse global audiences.
